CANDIDATE FOR VICE-PRESIDENT
Campaign Statement:
I am Gayle Bailey-Gray, candidate for Vice-President. I am asking you for the opportunity to serve in this leadership role so I may continue to contribute my professional skills to further the growth of this prominent organization.
HERE’S A FEW HIGHLIGHTS ABOUT ME
I have over 35 years of diverse experience in Public Relations, Marketing, and Hospitality Management. And, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern University. I have worked directly with government officials and was active in many philanthropy endeavors. My varied experience in the corporate sector has equipped me to represent the President and organization when needed.
Having been a member of The Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale since 2014. My commitment to the organization has not wavered nor my desire to be a positive influence to help MKFF flourish.
I have demonstrated integrity and leadership ability in my current role as Board Member-at-Large. As well as: ● Chair, of the Fundraising Committee
● Board Member – MKFF 501c (3) Foundation
● Active member of the Social Committee
● Active member of the Special Events Committee
● Former Co-Lieutenant of the Femme-tini Krewe
As Chair of the Fundraising Committee, contributions to the organization’s financial growth include MKFF’s most successful fundraiser to date; “Ruby Raffle” more than $38,000 was raised in 2019. And the 2021 campaign is performing well. Thank you all very much for your support.
As well, the MKFF Signature Pandora Charm raised over $8,700 for the organization. More accomplishments include:
● Editor of the 2020 Souvenir Book
● Currently working on 2021/2022 Digital Souvenir Book
● In 2020 and 2021 initiated successful ad campaigns to raise funds to offset printing costs for Souvenir Books
Additionally, I co-initiated organizing and executing a community service project for Houstonian victims impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The initiative, “Project Pack-A-Femme Purse” provided personal care items packed in gently used and some new purses, donated by Femme sisters. For this project, I personally drove the van full of purses to Houston where I arranged to participate in a community service event with a local church to distribute the purses.
NOW HERE’S MY PLATFORM
My vision for MKFF is adding value to being a member, such as Femmes supporting Femmes by building bonds through unique experiences and inclusion.
● I will use my business and community relationships to create strategic partnership opportunities ● I will advocate for instituting an online communications channel for members to provide feedback ● I will advocate creating a “Femme Ambassadors Program” for out-of-town members
IN CLOSING
I pledge to work in good faith with all board members and founding members for the betterment of the organization. I am passionate about the future of MKFF, and it would be my pleasure to represent you in ensuring the continuous growth of the organization. Femmes, I am asking for your vote.
