Campaign Statement:

Greetings, my name is Helen MH Cannon, and it is with immense pleasure and interest that I submit my

name as a candidate for the office of Corresponding Secretary with the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale. I

have been an active and proud member of the organization since 2014. I have served as your

Corresponding Secretary for the past three years and take my job seriously. It is not just a job to me; it

is my passion. As your Corresponding Secretary, I will continue to work hard to make sure that you are

up to date on all upcoming events and meetings as the information is authorized for release.

Since becoming a member of this fine organization, I have participated by riding in every parade since

the Inaugural parade. I am the Social Committee Chairwomen with the committee of fifty ladies that

come together to host many free social events. The events the Social Committee is responsible for are

Family Fun Day, Football Watch parties, Bike rides, FemmeMas, Halloween parties and Movie nights.

One of my favorite events as a member of the Social Committee was the collection over 500 Gift Cards

to present to the Senior Citizens of New Orleans Council on Aging. The organization was recognized

later for our efforts and our Founder was presented a trophy. I am an active member of the Fund-

Raising Committee, the Parade Committee, the Technology Committee, the Community Engagement

Committee and the Special Events Committee. The Community Engagement Committee is one that is

most dear to my heart. Here is where I spearheaded the Etiquette and Tea Workshop for girls ages 4-18.

This was sometimes a girls first time dressing up, wearing hats and gloves, and attending a Tea. The

Etiquette and Tea Workshop led to the vision of the Future Femmes. I am dedicated to MKFF and will

continue to support the Vision set forth by our Founder and Founding Members . I am proud to serve as

your current Corresponding Secretary and the first elected Board of Directors, and I will continue to

move this organization forward. It is my goal to continue to make HerStory great, and represent our
