CANDIDATE FOR MEMBER-AT-LARGE
Campaign Statement:
I am Jemma Mendoza, I humbly submit my nomination to serve on the MKFF Board of Directors in the capacity of Member at Large
My vision is to promote and advance the MKFF brand. If elected, it is my job to work with the leadership to deliver results, add value and contribute to the goals of the organization which directly impacts the membership.
I have served in various organizational leadership roles; currently I am serving as 1st VP of Programs, National Coalition of 100 Black Women- Greater New Orleans Chapter, Inc- with responsibility for developing and coordinating all chapter programs; I am also the Immediate Past President. I was employed by the State of Louisiana/DHH Department for 30 years. I am now a retired Human Resources Director and I bring the experience of knowing how to balance the interaction of working with people on both sides; communication; leadership; adaptivity; development of strategy to meet the organization’s objectives and a willingness to learn.
I am honest, trustworthy, competent, professional, dedicated and engaging; I actively participate in partnership with other organizations through volunteering opportunities that support the Greater New Orleans community.
