Felicia Tardy Jones

Campaign Statement:

I am honored to submit my application to run for Treasurer for the Illustrious Mystic Krewe of Femme

Fatale. I have been a resolute member for 5 years and have always been impressed with the

accomplishments of our leadership and the “Herstory”being manifested. I am particularly motivated to

support our efforts and ensuring the proper management of the organization’s funds. I am a member of

Femme Noir, where I serve as Co- Lieutenant under the leadership of Lieutenant Sean McClarty. In the

organization, I am a part of a few committees -- the Fundraising Committee, Community Engagement,

Special Events, and the Voices of MKFF.

I have over thirty plus years of experience within finance in various roles. Following, I will

highlight my most notable roles which were pivotal in my development. I began my journey at a young

age as a Sales Professional at Shoe Town, then continued my career at Hibernia Bank, which later was

merged into Capital One, where I was a Check Processor, and Bookkeeper. Following the merger, I

exceled to a Fraud Analyst, Assistant Manager of the Fraud Department then ended my tenure at Capital

One as a Quality Assurance Analyst. Succeeding Capital One, I continued my career as a Payroll Analyst

for Carriere and Dunn Tax and Accounting Services and currently working as the Senior Payroll

Representative at East Jefferson General Hospital. Outside of my work career, I am also a member of the

Order of Eastern Star where I have served as my chapter’s Treasurer, Associate Matron, and Past

Matron. I also hold a position on the Board of Trustees for the Greater Evergreen Baptist Church, and

Assistant Director for the Louisiana Chapter of the Southeast Regional Youth and Supervisors

Conference.

I am a 1982 high school graduate of St. Mary’s Academy. I received my Bachelor of Science in

Business Administration from Southern University of New Orleans and currently pursuing a master’s

degree in Social Work. I have been married for 29 years and have four adult children, who include a

current member and former member of Femme Fatale.

I cannot think of a better way to integrate my experience, knowledge, passion, and dedication

to service my fellow Femmes. As mentioned above, it is indeed an honor to be considered for the

position of Treasurer. “With Fee, It just all make ‘cents’!”
