Campaign Statement:

I am Kimberly Early and I am a candidate for Treasurer of the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale and I am humbly asking for your vote! In the past, I’ve served as a Founding Board Member, Membership Chairperson and the Founder & Lieutenant of MKFF’s Cherchez La Femme. Serving in all of those capacities, has given me the opportunity to know and understand the needs of our membership and participate in the decision making of fulfilling those needs.

I am the best candidate for Treasurer. Not only am I a graduate of Dillard University, my 30+ year CAREER in Accounting speaks best to my experience and skill set. I am an accountant and an entrepreneur at my core. I know how to run a SUCCESSFUL business and MKFF is a million-dollar business. I reconcile bank statements, prepare financial reports, file sales tax returns and process payroll for multiple clients on a monthly basis, which allows us to budget for future expenses, growth opportunities and sustainability. I’ve actually operated my own successful business for the past 14 years, starting with nothing but my own blood, sweat and tears. I’ve served as the Treasurer for my homeowner’s association for 18 years. And, I am currently providing a financial report to my krewe annually.

As the past membership chairperson, I took that responsibility very serious. As a board member, I believe that I work for you, so your concerns are my concerns and all of your questions required an answer. I’ve always been 100% assessable to 100% of the members, 100% of time. I am a Proven Leader. My character and integrity have been demonstrated throughout my service to MKFF.

So, I understand the value of a happy client and a happy femme.

MKFF represents a sisterhood, a social outlet and a legacy for our future femmes, but we have to preserve it now, so they can have it later. I know that the membership has concerns regarding our financial status. I’ve heard your voices at the membership meetings and I can get you answers. I won’t be learning on the job. I do this every day as my full-time job. I have extensive experience with QuickBooks pro, which is the financial software MKFF uses. I helped develop the MKFF Membership portal we use when making payments and purchasing items, so there will be no learning curve for me. MKFF is the only organization I am affiliated with. So, I have the time, experience and organizational skills to devote to making MKFF everything we dreamt it to be, today, tomorrow and years to come and I’m ready to get started!

One thing I know for sure is that I am 100% committed to our members and the success of MKFF. I have been a voice for the members since our inception. I have heard you and I’m asking you to give me the opportunity to serve as your Treasurer. I promise to be accurate, to be transparent, to hold all board members and committee chairs accountable for your hard-earned money.
