CANDIDATE FOR MEMBER-AT-LARGE
Campaign Statement:
My name is Terri Dubuclet, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Board Member at Large with the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale. I am looking forward to working harmoniously with the other members of the Board of Directors in an effort to continuously make the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale a great organization to join.
For those who don’t know me, I have been an active member in good standing with the organization since 2015. I have thoroughly enjoyed being an active participant on several committees, Community Engagement, Parade, Fundraising, and Special Events. I am currently a member of Lieutenant Stepheny Luke-Andrews Krewe, Femme De Tete. I have participated as an active rider each parade season since joining the organization.
After moving back to New Orleans in June of 2015, I became an active member in my church as the Children’s Church Ministry Leader, as well as heading up the ministry’s “Feed and Clothe the homeless and less fortunate in the city of New Orleans” activity. Prior to my moving from New Orleans in 1997, I was a very active member of several communities in the New Orleans area while working for Cox Communications and Bellsouth Mobility. Just to name a few of my acknowledgments:
• I received the inaugural award for “Community Service Representative of the Year.” This award was given due to my commitment to working in the community in the City of New Orleans.
The award was presented to me by the General Manager of Cox Communication. This award was created because I was a customer service representative and made time to work in several communities in the city. The General Manager was impressed by my efforts and the positive awareness impact of the presence of Cox Communication in the communities.
Events I lead and organized:
• Cystic fibrosis Sports Challenge Olympics (helped raise money and bring awareness to Cystic Fibrosis
• Christmas in October (helping the elderly with fixing up their homes, painting, and minor repairs
• Breast Cancer Awareness (Susan G. Komen)
When I worked for Bellsouth Mobility, I was part of the team in the decentralization of Bellsouth to Louisiana (New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette).
Additionally, I worked with the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival which allowed the Bellsouth Mobility Sales and Marketing team to be present at the Festival.
I will bring to the organization leadership, transparency, and accountability. I will work diligently to make sure the voice of the membership is heard and decisions that are made are in the best interest of the organization with the membership’s approval.
My platform is, to be honest, transparent, available, accountable and to make sure the membership’s voice is heard.
